Social Media Management: Requesting a Post

Creating a New Post Request

Step 1: Create

  • Click the '+ Add item' box on the left hand side of your table
  • Type in the name / identifier of your post (formerly known as 'Focus Area' in SmartSheet)

Step 2: Populate

Simply complete the relevant fields along the table, with the information you have for the post. Dont forget;

  • Proposed activity date, and whether this is date sensitive: (external publication dates / award ceremonies / events etc)
    • WHD team and Becky reserve the ability and need to change these dates as needed to support the social media strategy
  • Content Type: Is this an event post? and article? Whitepaper?
  • expertXchange: If this is an eX content piece, please tick the box for this, and we'll ensure to enact the appropriate branding and protocols.
  • Business Segment: very important!
  • Primary Campaign: This will have an impact on the tracking URLs and attribution in SalesForce

Step 3: Provide Direction

Once you've completed the basic information, please click the comment button to add in direction, draft copy, key messages, or even associated files (copies of the article etc)

Step 4: Request Approval

Once you have finished adding everything needed for us to create the post, just hit the 'request MLT Pre-Approval' button.

That's it! you're done!

You're welcome to monitor progress in the 'In Progress' table at the top of the board.
