Today’s Digitization & Lean Maturity. Inspired by Tomorrow.

Our headquarters in Philadelphia has been redesigned to run on a modern operating model that supports informed decisions, operational visibility, and continuous improvement across evolving portfolio demands.

The goal goes beyond simply introducing new tools, it is to create greater visibility into performance and enable faster, more informed decision-making across the operation.

Our Philadelphia facility has implemented digital and lean initiatives to maximize operational excellence, with a clear set of targets: on-time delivery consistently above 95%, batch record right first time at or above 95%, and sustained adherence to safety and cost objectives.

“We’re investing in digital tools, standardized problem‑solving, and lean practices so future programs benefit from increasingly efficient, transparent, and robust quality systems.”

Winston Brown - VP, Global Quality Technical Operations

Connected data. Better decisions.

Several forward-looking initiatives are helping improve visibility and support faster, more informed decision-making. Time Out of Refrigeration (TOR) digitization replaces manual logs with software-enabled, scan-based tracking to improve compliance and free up operator and quality resources. Electronic Batch Records (EBR) are being introduced to reduce batch record errors while providing near real-time visibility for both operations and quality teams.

Continuous improvement by design

Using an SQDCP framework, safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people, focus factories identify the metrics that matter most and use them to drive daily problem solving and A3-based investigations. Not treated as standalone tools, these initiatives build on the value stream structure, integrated quality model, and line-level discipline already established across the site. Together, they create greater visibility, support informed decisions, and enable continuous operational improvement.

Brand owner benefits…

For brand owners, the result is greater operational visibility and connected decision-making provide earlier insight into performance, helping teams identify issues sooner, respond more effectively, and continuously improve the systems and processes supporting their programs.

“As we add new technology—like enhanced digital tracking and time‑out‑of‑refrigeration monitoring—current and future programs will benefit from even tighter control of cold‑chain materials.

Tom Cliggett - Director of Quality Operations
